A Truly Timeless Wedding at Hotel Ella
One month ago, Morgan and Mason hosted their wedding at Hotel Ella while their planner, Lauren, pulled the strings behind the scenes. Within less than a year of planning, Lauren grew fond of this super sweet couple and ultimately was so excited to give them a great wedding day! These two were such an easy-breezy couple to plan with, that when their big day came along, everything went seamlessly… Well, except for the seam in Mason’s pants that had to be emergency-altered a few days before the wedding. LOL!
First off, what we love most about Hotel Ella is that it gives this beautiful, timeless backdrop for photos. And it’s even more stunning in person! The naturally gorgeous vibes of the venue was exactly what Morgan and Mason were going for, especially since it matched the greenery-inspired theme and decor they used.
We were so shocked to learn that Morgan and Mason’s fantastic invitation design was created by Morgan’s dad! That’s so special and heartwarming. You can really tell that graphic design is his passion. Literally!
To start off the wedding day, Lola Beauty arrived bright and early to do hair and makeup on Morgan and her bridesmaids, giving Morgan a natural glam look that looked so soft and effortlessly beautiful on her. Mason thought she looked so incredible during their first look that he immediately teared up when he laid eyes on her. Too cute!
As the girls got glammed, so did Hotel Ella! Premiere Events brought in furniture and linens for the reception area, while Brighter Side Event Lighting began setting up festoon lights for romantic mood-lighting to twinkle above the dance floor.
Then, Mountain Laurel Floral brought in various centerpieces, foliage for the chandeliers, and personal flowers for the wedding party. They came up with stellar design improvements to decorate the columns just behind the ceremony area, and it came out looking amazing. Their team just knows how to execute an aesthetic to perfection!
As Trevor Perrmann provided romantic guitar music, the ceremony began. Morgan and Mason completed a quick and easy ceremony, which concluded with Mason (safely!) breaking a glass, a common Jewish tradition to honor his faith. The happy newlyweds were whisked away while their guests enjoyed cocktail hour.
During cocktail hour, Hotel Ella’s catering team finished prepping the ballroom and our iconic friend, Brooke from Honey Gem Creative took these great shots of reception. And yes, she is also responsible for ALL of the amazing photos from this wedding!
Morgan and Mason got the PDA Band to perform at their wedding, which was really special to them since these two originally met at a PDA live show on Rainey Street! Awww! And they were so smart to get this band because the performers totally amped up the party vibes.
Lastly, Ella from SidePiece_ATX happened to be a family friend of the couple’s, but she also is an expert at making yummy wedding cakes. She brought their cake, and also enjoyed the wedding as a guest! That’s a win-win for everyone involved right there.
At the end of the night, everyone said sent-off Mr. and Mrs. Pedersen with a petal toss. Without a doubt, these two definitely deserve each other and all of the wholesome love they give each other. Thank you to Morgan and Mason for choosing to plan your big day with us! You two were fun and easy, which is every planner’s dream. And we extend another thank you to every vendor who worked this wedding, since each and every one of you did a stellar job. Goodbye for now, reader!
