Katrina and Matt: Elegant Fairytale Wedding at Driskill
Katrina and Matt really wanted an elegant fairytale wedding, and Austin's historic Driskill hotel it was the perfect setting! They wanted to focus on really romantic and beautiful traditional details and keep it to varying shades of pink's whites and navy blue. The couple tied the knot at the grooms home church of Saint Ignatius in south Austin and they decorated the aisle with large gold pink and white floral arrangements by epic event design. Tons of candle light lit up the altar as they exchanged vows, and Brio photography captured every gorgeous second.
The reception kicked off on the mezzanine level of the Driskill hotel, and served delicious appetizers before ushering guests into the main ballroom, where everything was lit up in pink by Disch events lighting team. Monarch event rentals provided the beautiful linens, and the hotels on 1886 café and bakery design to the stunning (and did I mention delicious?!) wedding cake.
The bride designed, with the help of Marquee Events, a custom photo booth backdrop for her guests to enjoy of a beautiful quote that was personal to the couple. It was draped with blush pink chiffon and adorned with fresh greenery by Epic event design. This was in addition to the sparkly gold backdrop that served as the entertainment for the evening, as her guests were wowed by the interactive photo booth by my event is the bomb.
The bride’s Pnina Tornai gown switched from the traditional cap sleeve ballgown to a sweetheart neckline for the reception, and with the help of Kara Sanchez beauty the bride was perfectly perfect in every way!
DJ big Rich Ricardo from Altared Weddings spun The beats that got everyone dancing all night, and with the bride’s brother being a professional dancer we were in for a treat when the father daughter dance took on a whole new life, complete with breakdancing choreography!
The night ended with a beautiful rose petal send off down the hotels grand staircase. It was truly a fairytale wedding!
