Blakeley and Tanner: Glitter and Glam
Blakeley and Tanner's Wedding is definitely what I would call a “whirlwind”. It started with a five minute phone call from Blakeley's Matron of Honor (and sister) Jordan asking about our services. The next thing I knew they were signed and paid before we could meet! Would I like the couple? More importantly, would they trust me for their wedding?
All worked out more than perfectly as Blakeley ended up being one of the sweetest, most laid back Brides I've ever had! Her Mom and Sisters were a big part of the planning as well and were so fun to chat with. Tanner was a very gracious groom, so friendly to everyone around him.
Glitter and Glam and New Year's Eve accessories filled Blakeley and Tanner's Black Tie Wedding at the Omni Barton Creek Resort, it all tied seamlessly together.
Pearl Artists did an amazing job with Blakeley and her bridal party’s hair and make up. Diana Lott Photography delivered some gorgeous and dramatic pictures. White petals filled the aisle with uplit draping as their backdrop for the ceremony. After a quick round of I Do’s guests then got to enjoy cocktail hour with the remnants of Holiday Decor still set up at the hotel.
This was our first Wedding with Westbank Floral and we were definitely blown away. Every single stem looked like it could be the prettiest flower in the bouquet. Uptown Drive, who I'm excited to say we're working with again in May, was the perfect band for the evening. After the final set, I left kicking myself for not playing Backstreet Boys “I Want it That Way” at my own Wedding. It definitely got everyone on the dancefloor.
Leading up to the wedding we made some last minute additions that truly transformed the ballroom. Monarch ended up draping the perimeter of the entire room in a white voile material that was highlighted by the uplighting from ILD. Our initial thought was a blush pink, but in the end we went with a brighter lavender, which looked striking in the pictures and fit the party vibe of the evening. Draping and uplighting was also added to the ceremony space (which was in an adjacent ballroom), however, we ended up choosing a muted white to keep the room a little more traditional. Simplicity was key for the couple when it came to linens, they went with the in house white linens from Omni Barton Creek, but added a fun silver and black overlay for the long bridal party table.
Our most fun part of the night as coordinators is when you get to hand out dance floor items to the guests. This particular evening’s included New Years Eve hats, necklaces and noise makers, all very welcomed from the guests!
Initially the send off was simply going to be guests waiving all of their New Years Eve noisemakers, however, Diana Lott came up with an idea at the 11th Hour! There were a good amount of Rose Petals in vases as part of the display from Westbank Floral for the guest sign in table. Considering no one had been back to the table since cocktail hour, no one would notice if we removed them. A great way to reuse floral! And the send off pictures turned out beautiful; a great way to start 2017!
